HOLIDAYS: Chanukah:
We tabled on campus with "decorate your own Chanukah cookie". We had menorah lighting each night of Chanukah at Hillel. We also had Chanukah get togethers in the dorms and at Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. On the last night, there was a Chanukah Party and Latke Dinner at Hillel.
Purim:
The student leadership coordinated a Purim Party and put together a megillah schpiel.
Passover:
The students and staff organized a seder for the first night of Passover. Over 120 people came. Tickets were on sale before hand. It was held in Gerlinger lounge on campus. Esti was the head chef. All of the food was prepared at Hillel and then brought over to campus. Very successful.
Yom Hashoah:
The Jewish Student Union had an opening ceremony for the 24 hour reading of the names. Holocaust expert Deborah Lipstadt came to the University of Oregon to lecture on "Denying the Holocaust, Perspectives from a British Courtroom" . This event was co-sponsored by various community and on campus groups. It took a lot of planning and was a great model for finding co-sponsorship and creating relationships with academic departments and on campus organizations.
Lag B'omer:
We went to Haceta Lighthouse on coast and had a bon fire and drumming circle.

Tzedek:
There is a Tzedek group at Oregon Hillel that focuses on doing community service and social justice projects. This year, some of the Tzedek programs have included: "Direct Action Against Hunger"," delivering Shabbat baskets to elders, and the MS walk.
