Things to do when you first get to campus:

-take a campus tour
-become familiar with 13th street
-set up meeting with res hall staff
-learn where students hang out
-establish contact with someone at the Daily Emerald
-register at the scheduling office for table-ing etc.

Get a life beyond the Fellowship:

Places on campus to take advantage of:

-Craft Center ( in the EMU)
-Outdoor Program ( in the EMU)
-the Campus Rec Center ( $50/term)

Places to eat:

-Holy Cow ( in the EMU fishbowl, good vegetarian food)
-Cafe Roma ( on 13th, good drinks and muffins)
-Sakurai ( on 13th, yummy sushi)
-The Sub Shop ( amazing frozen yogurt)
-The Glenwood ( on 13th, sit down, really good tomato chesse soup)
-Chao Pra Ya ( on 6th, thai food, very reasonable)

Places to go:

- Spencer's Butte ( nice place to go hiking, 10 min drive)
-Mt. Pisgah ( great place to go hiking, 20 min drive)
-The Bijou ( movie theater, off beat and cultural films)
-McDonald Theater ( concerts, shows)
-Saturday Market ( every Saturday, downtown, outside)
- Hult Center ( plays, musicals etc.)
- 5th street market ( up scale shopping center)
-Nature ( pick up an Oregon Hiking book and learn about all the amazing places to hike, hot spring, raft etc.)
